El presidente de la Diputación de Ciudad Real, Miguel Ángel Valverde, ha mantenido una reunión en el Palacio provincial con una delegación del ARQUICMA (Asociación Regional de Químicos y Profesionales de la Industria de Castilla-La Mancha) y representantes del Consejo General de Relaciones Industriales y Ciencias del Trabajo de España (CGRICT), en la que han estado presentes Rafael Ruiz Calatrava, presidente de dicho Consejo, Miguel Víctor Carrión Chico, presidente sectorial de Castilla-La Mancha del mismo y vicepresidente del Consejo General de Profesionales de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, Juan Ramón Álvarez Fernández, presidente de ARQUICMA y Enrique Lillo Alarcón, Comendador de Castilla-La Mancha de la Orden del Camino de Santiago y han excusado la ausencia del presidente del Consejo General de los Colegios Oficiales de Químicos de España que no ha podido asistir por problemas de agenda

El principal objetivo de la reunión ha sido la presentación al presidente de la institución provincial los diferentes proyectos y actividades previstas por las entidades representadas para realizar a lo largo del año 2026, especialmente en Puertollano, coincidiendo con la conmemoración del centenario de la concesión del título de ciudad.

Entre los actos más destacados se encuentra la celebración de la próxima edición de los Premios Nacionales e Internacionales PREVER, galardones creados en 1998 por el Consejo General de Relaciones Industriales y Ciencias del Trabajo, que previsiblemente se llevarán a cabo el 13 de marzo de 2026 en la localidad minera. Estos premios son los más veteranos y prestigiosos en materia de seguridad y salud laboral a nivel internacional y reúnen, cada año, a más de trescientos profesionales provenientes de todo el mundo. Durante el evento también se entregarán las Medallas de Oro del Consejo General, que reconocen la trayectoria de excelencia profesional en distintos ámbitos.

Además, durante el encuentro se han abordado los actos conmemorativos del Día de San Alberto Magno, patrón de los químicos que se conmemora cada año el 15 de noviembre. Con este motivo, el día previo, en Puertollano, se llevará a cabo una conferencia a cargo del catedrático de Ingeniería Química y presidente del Consejo General de Colegios Oficiales de Químicos de España, Ricardo Díaz Martín a las siete de la tarde en el museo municipal, y posteriormente tendrá lugar una cena de confraternización.

Por su parte, el presidente de la Diputación de Ciudad Real ha mostrado gran interés por todas estas iniciativas y la disposición de la institución provincial a colaborar, en la medida de las posibilidades, con ambas entidades. Valverde ha aprovechado el encuentro para reiterar su agradecimiento personal por la concesión, en el mes de mayo de este año, de la Medalla de Oro al Mérito Profesional Individual con Distintivo Rojo por la excelencia en el trabajo en su ámbito de actuación, que le otorgó el Consejo General de Relaciones Industriales y Licenciados en Ciencias del Trabajo

Asimismo, los representantes de ARQUICMA han expuesto una propuesta para la posible celebración en 2026 de los primeros Premios Nacionales de Química del Consejo General de Colegios Oficiales, junto con una jornada técnica de ámbito nacional, así como un proyecto de colaboración con la Orden del Camino de Santiago, que es la organización no gubernamental mayor que hay en el mundo para difundir el Camino de Santiago y que reúne a 1.700 “Damas y Caballeros” de 40 países del mundo, para abrir nuevas etapas del Camino entre Puertollano y el Monasterio de Yuste, fomentando así el turismo, la cultura y la economía local.

La Asociación Regional de Químicos y Profesionales de la Industria de Castilla-La Mancha), fundada en 2009 y con sede en Puertollano, cuenta con alrededor de un centenar de asociados y más de sesenta socios de honor tiene como objetivo aglutinar a todos los profesionales del sector químico, que ocupa un papel muy relevante en Castilla- La Mancha con más de 600 empresas de 45 sectores de actividad. La entidad desarrolla actividades formativas, técnicas y culturales en materia de seguridad laboral, medio ambiente y divulgación científica, así como iniciativas solidarias en beneficio de organizaciones locales como Cáritas, Cruz Roja o la Asociación Española contra el Cáncer.
